Wanted to draw realistic Bishop portrait for quite some time (you know, with mimic muscles and stuff ) and finally gave it a go. Not really sure I like the result since he doesn't particularly look like himself, but oh well
Eh, totally understand about the blocks, am not really that active both in writing and drawing lately myself. Besides, got a second job, and it's eating a lot of my time and energy. At least now, while I'm not yet used to it But let's hope we both get time to be around It's always a pleasure to see a familiar face here that you know for quite some time already - almost a family feeling
Wow! I certainly would have had no trouble knowing exactly who that is, even without the title—and I haven't played the game in a couple years now. The taunting twist of his lips, his scars and those eyes—not to mention the hair. His hair is wonderful! Awesome.
Well, you know, all my versions of Bishop look different, he has many faces. Aside from any gripes you might have about looking like himself, it's a good portrait and the expression of 'will you just get out of my face' is perfect. The contrasting colour of the eyes works really well. I could give you lots of comments on what might make him look more like in the game but I won't bother. This is still so good and half the fun of drawing fan art is re-interpreting the characters, at least just a little. It's funny though, for ages I have wanted to do a Bishop portrait. Maybe it's time.
Nope but imperfect graphics makes fan art so much more fun because the characters are only half formed and leave so much more to your imagination. I had huge troubles with Duncan and Riordan because the graphics in Dragon Age are so good there is very little to add. In the end they became a mixture of my own interpretation and the game graphics.
Old graphics aside I always thought Bishop looks vaguely eastern European or Russian.
