In Slavic mythology, rusalka - ghost of a drowned young girl or unwed woman (especially a suicide). Mostly known for their unhealthily merry nature and habits. Like luring away a lone traveler and tickling them to death.

А наши по-английски так и называются. Mermaids - это которые с хвостом рыбьим, а наши так и есть rusalki :)
